The Schmetz 134 P industrial needle is built for precision and durability when sewing all types of leather, upholstery, and accessories. Its P point — also known as narrow wedge point (NW) — creates a lenticular incision at a right angle to the seam direction, producing a high-strength, secure seam.

Designed for high-speed industrial machines, this needle features twist groove variations:

• PCL: Left twist groove for hooks positioned to the right of the needle

• PCR: Right twist groove for hooks positioned to the left of the needle (ideal for the left needle in twin needle lockstitch machines)

This twist structure guides the thread safely out of the fabric without it rubbing against the needle eye or cutting edges — minimising thread damage during intensive operations.
