The Schmetz B-27 SKF needle – also known as DCx27, MY1023, UY191 GS, or RIM 27 SKF – is designed with an SKF (Heavy Ball Point) tip. Its extremely rounded shape displaces coarse or elastic threads without piercing them, making it perfect for elastic fabrics, coarse knits, and materials with covered elastomeric threads.

These needles are engineered for industrial overlock (serger) sewing machines, providing excellent fabric handling, reduced fabric damage, and smooth seam formation.
