The Schmetz 134-35 LL / DPX35 LL needles feature the specialised LL (Twist Point), also known as TW or LLCR, designed for precise stitching in leatherwork and shoe production. This twist point forms a lenticular incision at a 135° angle to the seam direction, producing a slightly recessed, straight seam line that holds well in dense materials.

The LL point is also ideal for achieving the same seam appearance when using a hook positioned to the left of the needle, as you'd get with an LR point and a right-positioned hook.
