The Schmetz 134 SD1 needle is expertly engineered for use on fine leather, synthetic leather, and coated materials. Featuring a unique SD1 point (also known as TRI TIP), it combines the structure of a conical round point with a tiny triangular cutting tip.

Only about 10% of the stitch hole is cut, while the remaining 90% is gently displaced, which results in a straight, consistent seam with minimal material damage. This makes it ideal for multi-directional or programmable sewing machines, ensuring consistent seam appearance in every direction.
